What Is The Mineral Core Aluminum Composite Panel?

Mineral Core Aluminum Composite Panel is an engineered architectural cladding material composed of two aluminum sheets bonded to a fire-retardant mineral-filled core. The panel structure consists of a front aluminum sheet, a mineral-based fire-retardant core, and a rear aluminum sheet. The mineral core is made primarily from high-purity alumina (Al₂O₃) and activated calcium oxide (CaO) through a high-temperature, high-pressure hydrothermal synthesis process. The aluminum sheets undergo surface pretreatment and coil-coating before being continuously bonded to the core through extrusion lamination or hot-press bonding, ensuring strong interlayer adhesion and long-term dimensional stability. Compared with standard PE-core ACP, the mineral core formulation significantly enhances fire performance.

Core Characteristics & Advantages

1. Enhanced fire performance
Inorganic mineral core materials such as alumina or calcium oxide are not inherently flammable, and their melting point is far above 2000°C, so they will not burn in a fire.

2. Low water absorption rate
Generally less than 5%, far lower than ordinary gypsum board (>30%), suitable for damp areas.

3. High strength and dimensional stability
Flexural strength can reach 8–12 MPa, with a small coefficient of thermal expansion, making it less prone to deformation and cracking.

4. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic
Free from asbestos, formaldehyde and other harmful substances, meeting green building material standards.
